Transfiguration Cathedral, Odesa

Ukraine's largest Orthodox church, suffered colossal damage from a Russian missile strike on July 23, 2023. The attack destroyed most of the roof, central pillars, and foundation, while blowing out all windows and destroying the interior decoration. On the day we visited, the church remains under reconstruction, shrapnel on the walls, chandeliers hanging from what use to be beautiful hand painted capsules. I spoke with the Father of the church to take photos and light candles for lost loved ones.
